Time Flies

This morning my 6 and half year old announced she was going to make breakfast for her and her sister. I thought to my self this could be a disaster. However, I was proven way wrong. She got the cereal down from the top shelf, poured a bowl for her sister, poured the milk all without spilling. Then preceded to make her and her sister some peanut butter toast(I intervened with a spoon to spread with rather than a knife).

Later she decided to make kool-aid without supervision (its the 'premade' with the sugar in it). And she did it... a little watered down in flavor but water to the top stirred and everything. She even brought me a glass later.

My baby isn't a baby anymore.

  1. Ain't it amazing how that happens. Sounds like you have a very independent spirit on your hands- don't let it go away:)
