Also the 'Root' or 'Base' chakra...the natural feeling at the first chakra is solid, stable, still, passive, gounded. Also called 'The Anchor of the Spirit'. The essence power that we aquire when our first chakra is activated and balanced is absolute stillness. When we can truly be still, we are aware of our own presence, we can instinctually feel our own body and our physical surroundings, we can completely relax and rest, we feel at home in our body, on Earth, wherever we are.
Chakra One: Muladhara- CLEANLINESS
Earth, Physical identity, oriented to self-preservation. Located at the base of the spine, this chakra forms our foundation. It represents the element earth, and is therefore related to our survival instincts, and to our sense of grounding and connection to our bodies and the physical plane. Ideally this chakra brings us health, prosperity, security, and dynamic presence.
